What are the Signs that you may need of eating disorder treatment?

Someone needing eating disorder treatment may look very thin. She or he may use extreme measures to lose weight by:

making her or himself throw up

taking pills to urinate or have a bowel movement

taking diet pills

not eating or eating very little

exercising a lot, even in bad weather or when hurt or tired

weighing food and counting calories

moving food around the plate instead of eating it

Someone needing eating disorder treatment may also have a distorted body image, shown by thinking she or he is fat, wearing baggy clothes, weighing her or himself many times a day, and fearing weight gain.

What is a Mini Blind?

The long horizontal slats are held one above the other by the rungs of ladder cords shaped like a ladder. The lower ends of the legs of the ladder cords are secured to the long rail under the slats. Their upper ends are attached to the drive rod in the housing, the elongated box above the slats. As the drive rod rotates, one leg of each ladder cord moves up while the other moves down, causing the angle of the slats to change. In one design, this rotation is achieved by pushing up or pulling down on a long handle called a tilt wand connected to the drive rod by a lever. Lift cords along the ladder cords are also attached to the rail. They pass through holes in the slats and into the housing above, where they go over pulleys, combine and exit through the cord lock. For safety it’s important that the lock always work. A downward pull on the main lift cord raises the slats by the cords pulling up the rail below the slats. The cord lock holds the main lift cord to keep the slats up until the cord is pulled to release the lock. The safety lock made the cord lock easier to use.

Thank You Letter Points to Consider

Thank You Letter Points to Consider

* Be brief and to the point.
* When thanking a potential employer, restate your interest in the position and/or the company.
* Always plan your follow-up. Make it a point to tell the person when and how they can expect to hear from you in the future.

* If there are multiple people involved, such as with a panel interview, be sure to thank each person. Send one letter to each person or send a single letter to a key person for distribution. When sending more than one thank you letter, it is very effective to vary each one.

* Always send written cover letters to a person by name.

* The thank you is an opportunity to restate your qualifications. Include any pertinent information you failed to mention earlier. Be sure to reemphasize your skills and abilities.

Mini Blind Contract Changes Definition

Contract changes, if any, over the life of the contract are implemented by contract addenda released by the Contract Administrator to the contractor. If the contractor is accepting orders and/or delivering through other parties, for example a manufacturer accepting orders and delivering through a dealer network or dealers receiving orders through a network of other dealers, then it is the responsibility of the contractor to apprise such parties of all such contract addenda.

Blind Measuring Requirements

In situations where the contractor will be installing window blinds and the agency needs assistance in performing measurements, it is the obligation of the contractor to take on-site measurements. Requests for on-site measurements should be forwarded to the contractor in writing, with the using agencys purchase order number, to be confirmed once the actual measurements are complete and the estimate finalized. A purchase order should result in all instances, unless the estimate exceeds budgetary allowances. Any abuse of this service by agencies should be reported to the contract administrator.

All requests for measurements should be made in written form by the using agency. The State will not be responsible for and misunderstandings that results from oral requests.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse Prevention

Relapse Prevention, a cognitive-behavioral therapy, was developed for the chemical dependency treatment of problem drinking and adapted later for cocaine addicts. In one study, most people receiving this cognitive-behavioral approach maintained the gains they made in dual diagnosis treatment throughout the year following addiction rehab. Cognitive-behavioral strategies are based on the theory that learning processes play a critical role in the development of maladaptive behavioral patterns. Individuals learn to identify and correct problematic behaviors. Relapse prevention encompasses several cognitive-behavioral strategies that facilitate abstinence as well as provide help for people who experience relapse.

Camaraderie Brings Cheer

Camaraderie Brings Cheer

Thursday nights outing was the first hockey jerseys game for a number of the Walter Reed patients, including Staff Sgt. Robert Huegel.

It was great! Huegel exclaimed after the Capitals Matt Pettinger

scored the deciding goal in the shootout to win the game. Huegel said although he doesnt yet fully understand all the rules of the game, he enjoyed the action and the camaraderie with his fellow service members.

Huegel said he and the other patients like to joke with each other and make light of their injuries. For instance, he said a Marine corporal who lost two limbs in Iraq, joked at the game that they charge an arm and a leg for food around here.

We bust on each other, Huegel said. Its all in fun, he said, adding that it helps them cheer one another up.

Curved Window window treatments

If curved window coverings are desired, a radius of curvature may be given with the +/-r option. If given as +r, The curvature is upward (which is the usual configuration). If the option is given as -r, then the curvature is downward. The radius indicates how far from each slat its effective cylindrical center resides. Each slat will be broken into as many polygons as is necessary to keep the delta changes in angle less than 10 degrees. (Note that this may result in a rather large number of polygons.)

About Guns

Cheap airsoft guns safety is an issue that unites people from all ideologies concerned with protecting the welfare of children and securing homes, said Lewis. We have all read tragic stories in our local papers about airsoft gun accidents as a result of misuse. As lawmakers we can better promote safety and responsibility by encouraging electric airsoft guns owners to purchase airsoft guns safes to store firearms and keep them from falling into the wrong hands.#

Window window treatments Heat Reducing Capacity

Window window coveringsvertical or horizontal slat-typeare more effective at reducing summer heat gain than winter heat loss.Because of the numerous openings between the slats, it’s difficult to control heat loss through interior window window treatments, but the slats offer flexibility in the summer. Unlike shades, you can adjust the slats to control light and ventilation. For example, when completely closed and lowered on a sunny window, highly reflective window coverings can reduce heat gain by around 45%. They can also be adjusted to block and reflect direct sunlight onto a light-colored ceiling. A light-colored ceiling will diffuse the light without much heat or glare.

Motivational Enhancement Therapy

Motivational Enhancement Therapy

Motivational Enhancement Therapy is a client-centered counseling approach for initiating behavior change by helping clients to resolve ambivalence about engaging in executive drug rehab and stopping drug use. This approach employs strategies to evoke rapid and internally motivated change in the client, rather than guiding the client stepwise through the recovery process. This therapy consists of an initial assessment battery session, followed by two to four individual sessions with a therapist. The first session focuses on providing feedback generated from the initial assessment battery to stimulate discussion regarding personal substance use and to elicit self-motivational statements. Motivational interviewing principles are used to strengthen motivation and build a plan for change. Coping strategies for high-risk situations are suggested and discussed with the client. In subsequent sessions, the therapist monitors change, reviews cessation strategies being used, and continues to encourage commitment to change or sustained abstinence. Clients are sometimes encouraged to bring a significant other to sessions. This approach has been used successfully with alcoholics and with marijuana-dependent individuals.

How to Choose the Right Gun Safe

How to Choose the Right Gun Safe

When you buy a gun, you need to buy a gun safe as well. Period. And it’s not just for safety reasons.

Most safes on the market today will do a good job of protecting your electric Airsoft guns from curious children. What all of them won’t do well is protect your Airsoft guns from burglars. Many criminals get their hands on weapons by breaking into the homes of known gun owners and stealing them.

When protecting your air soft guns from theft, all safes are not created equal. Here’s what to look for when you’re buying a gun safe.

Make sure it can be bolted down. The most important thing a burglar needs in order to crack a safe is time. And they won’t get that in your house. That’s why most burglars will physically remove the entire, unopened gun safe to a more secure place, where they have unlimited time to get it open. Even very heavy gun safes can be moved–many burglars bring dollies with them just in case. That’s why it’s crucial to avoid buying a gun safe that can’t be bolted to the floor–preferably a cement floor.

Look for an alarm. Some safes come with automatic alarms that go off the moment someone tries to break into your safe. If your gun safe is bolted down and the thieves decide to take a crack at it in your home, the alarm will put a great deal of pressure on them to get done in a hurry. It could put them off stealing it altogether.

Make sure the housing for the lock is protected. Some burglars will try to drill into your lock in order to get it open. Some safe manufacturers create ingenious ways to keep that drill from hitting the interior housing for the lock. One way involves two thick metal plates with a layer of ball bearings between. When a drill hits the ball bearing layer, it can’t move forward–there’s no friction. The ball bearings often break off the drill bit as well. Other manufacturers design other ways, such as angled plates to deflect the drill bit away from the lock house.

Look for a relocker. This is a device that will cause the lock to close again if it is broken open. It won’t protect the contents of the safe forever, but it is very effective in making the break-in process more complicated–which is a definite deterrent for burglars.

Look for as few welded seams as possible. Amateur thieves will try to break through your lock to get to your cheap Airsoft guns. But the real pros know that your safe’s weakest points are where the metal has been welded together. To stop burglars from attacking your seams first, look for a safe that has as few exposed seams as possible.

Thicker is better–and not just on the door. Look for a safe with a good metal thickness–no thinner than 10-guage–all around. Many safe manufacturers will produce safes with thick doors but thin bodies. A safe cracker with any skill will know which safes are vulnerable in the body–and will bypass the door to go in through the side or roof of the safe. Make sure your sides, top and bottom are just as thick and strong as your safe’s door.

Hinges should be on the inside. Exposed hinges are another point of attack for anyone trying to break into your safe. If your hinges can be damaged or removed, the door can be broken into. Many safe manufacturers will advertise super-strong hinges, but no matter how strong a set of hinges are, they’re better off if the thieves can’t get to them.

Look for a warranty. Only buy from a safe manufacturer that has confidence in its product. The best warranties will replace or repair your safe for free if it is damaged by a break-in attempt–although many will ask that you ship it back with a police report.

The bottom line is that you can’t have too much safe. Buy a safe that will accommodate your gun collection as it grows. Most importantly, don’t think cheap when it comes to the safe that’s supposed to protect your valuables–because you’ll get what you pay for. You can’t expect a 50.00 safe to do a good job protecting 10,000 worth of firearms–buy a safe that does justice to your collection. If you do, your Airsoft gun should stay safe and secure.
